Who we are

CogniPlay Kft. is the controller of personal data collected through this website. You can reach us atpuzzles@cogniplay.com.

Information we collect

  • Through the contact form: the name, email address, and message content you provide, plus the organisation you choose to include.
  • Through server logs and security tooling: IP address, browser type, referring URL, and approximate location. This is collected automatically and retained briefly.

We run no analytics on this site.

How we use it

Contact form data is used only to respond to your message. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not use it for marketing. Server logs help us keep the site running and secure; they are not used to profile individual visitors.

Legal basis under GDPR

  • Contact form submissions: consent (Article 6(1)(a)). By sending us a message, you consent to us using that data to reply.
  • Logs and security: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in operating a secure, functional website.

Who handles your data on our behalf

  • Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (Luxembourg, with global edge locations): hosting and content delivery. Transfers outside the European Economic Area are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (United States, with EU data processing): bot mitigation on the contact form and processing of form submissions. Transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
  • Scaleway SAS (France): transactional email delivery for contact form submissions. Scaleway operates entirely within the EU.

How long we keep your data

  • Contact form messages: retained for up to 24 months after the conversation ends, then archived or deleted.
  • Server logs: typically 30 days.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no tracking. The anti-bot check on the contact form (Cloudflare Turnstile) may use strictly necessary mechanisms to distinguish people from bots; these are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking and are exempt from consent requirements under ePrivacy rules.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • ask us to delete it
  • object to or restrict how we use it
  • receive a copy in a portable format
  • lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) or your local supervisory authority

To exercise any of these rights, emailpuzzles@cogniplay.com.

Children's data

This website is intended for business partners: newsrooms, brands, and educators. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us data via the contact form, please let us know and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or applicable law evolve. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version. We will highlight material changes at the top of this page for a reasonable period.
